How to use

The formula

In equal temperament, f = A4 × 2^((n − 69) / 12) where n is the MIDI note number (A4 = 69). Each semitone multiplies the frequency by 2^(1/12) ≈ 1.0595.

FAQ

Is this a tuner?
It doesn't analyse microphone input — it's more like a tuning fork that plays an exact reference pitch for tuning by ear.
Is anything other than 440 Hz common?
Orchestras often use 442–443 Hz; Baroque performance frequently uses 415 Hz.
